WATERPROOFING

Flooring

Epoxy Coatings

Hard wearing – epoxy coatings are designed to ensure that surfaces are sealed and kept hygienically free of contaminants that might spread disease. They are also aesthetically appearing and create a clean fresh appeal to the substrates when applied. An epoxy coating is also easily repaired when damaged.

Linings

Chemical Resistant Linings

Chemical Resistant Linings: – are required when chemicals are store in contained concrete tanks, or when acids and other chemicals need to be contained to prevent further dispersion of the chemical to other areas of the plant or factory.

Coatings
Pressure resistant systems

A two part carefully mixed product applied by hand with brush technique or trowel at a thickness specified for the application. This system holds negative and positive pressures between 1 bar and 5 bars pressure.

Water repellent systems

Water repellent systems are designed to keep water from penetrating the
substrate.

Textured Epoxy Coatings

Decorative ripple finish, durable anti -graffiti wall coating, with chemical resistant properties.

Joint Sealants
Industrial floor Sealant

This two part-component epoxy modified semi -gloss rigid sealant is used for filling non – moving control and construction joints in industrial floors.

Polysulphide Sealant

This trafficable joint sealant is suitable in areas exposed to intense UV and weather conditions, water retaining structures and sewage works

Polyurethane Sealants

General construction sealant for exterior and interior use.

Waterproofing
Rubberised Bituminous Waterproofing

A two part embedded system applied to a substrate to waterproof the substrate.

Acrylic Waterproofing

A two part embedded system applied to a substrate to waterproof the substrate. This system is UV stable and is available in various colours.

Cementitious Waterproofing

A two part embedded system applied to a substrate to waterproof the substrate. This system is UV stable and is available in various colours.

Torch -on (heated systems)

Torch – on is used extensively for the waterproofing of flat substrates that require a full water tight seal to prevent water damage to contents below. Torch – in is heated and then fused to the surface after careful preparation of the substrate .

Cold Systems (self-adhesive)

Cold systems are used in heat sensitive places; example would be a flat concrete
roof next to a thatch roof.

DAMP PROOFING

There are two types of dampness that occur in walls and surfaces namely, rising damp and Lateral damp, both are treated in the same way
RISING DAMP

Rising damp refers to the natural process of dampness in the ground rising up through the structure of a building. The purpose of a damp proof course is to prevent this process by establishing a horizontal barrier sited near the base of a property which prevents the passage of moisture.

LATERAL DAMP

Another main cause of damp is penetrative damp. This is where dampness enters a building laterally through the walls. This most often occurs when there is a building fault, such as a broken gutter or drainpipe, which causes water to pool against the exterior of the building and consequently seep through to the interior. Another main cause of penetrative damp is via an earth retaining wall (that is to say a wall whose exterior is below the level of the ground such as a basement or a building built into a slope).

INSULATED SYSTEMS

Light Weight Screeds
Polyterm Blu

The application is applied onsite Politerm Blu is a pre-manufactured product which consists of expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads that are pre -treated with a chemical additive. This chemical treatment allows the effective mixing of the beads with water and cement in order to produce a mortar which is laid to falls as a thermal insulating roof screed. Politerm beads mix easily with cement and water, without floating and separation.

Vermiculite

Vermiculite is a naturally-occurring mineral composed of shiny flakes, resembling mica. When heated to a high temperature, flakes of vermiculite expand as much as 8-30 times their original size. The expanded vermiculite is a light-weight, fire-resistant, and odourless material and has been used in numerous products, including insulation for attics and walls. Sizes of vermiculite products range from very fine particles to large (coarse) pieces nearly an inch long.

Triple Deck System

A layer of polystyrene sheeting is applied over the existing tin roof structure – the thickness of the sheeting will determine the amount of insulation and sound proofing required.
